KILLSWITCH ENGAGE is Reckonizin'
Well its definitely not what I was expecting, but it kind of was...if that makes sense...probably not. Oh well. I fucking love the new KILLSWITCH ENGAGE song, "Reckoning" from their upcoming release "Killswitch Engage" out via ROADRUNNER RECORDS. A major commercial sound blazing through their direction, but it sound really really good. I'll never get tired of hearing HOWARD JONES sing and if its in a high quality studio, the better. Hopefully he'll be acknowledged more. June 30th can't come soon enough for me.
Anyways, here is the song:

It's Been Awhile Huh....
Alright, so I haven't been posting often and I still owe you a podcast...and I am sure most have given up a hope to ever even hear that podcast. I don't blame you if you have, I'd get sick of waiting for me too.
The truth be told is I have suffered a terrible loss as of August 15th due to the passing of my baby brother, Michael Walter Evans, Jr., who was at the ripe young age of 21. I tried so terribly hard to complete a podcast for everyone in the month passing his death but I couldn't find the passion or confidence to give a show you deserve. Words honestly could not express the pain I have felt and the anger I bear internally. I don't want to make any excuses for my delay in keeping up with the music but in all honesty, I just haven't had the energy to entertain or inform my fellow brethrens in metal. I've had a terrible year of tragedy personally and finanically...and I haven't been able to channel it. In 2007, my brothers biological father was murdered...and my brother died on his biological fathers birthday...everything is just fucking painful and weird.
I do hope that I can provide the outlet you all deserve again...please just know its not that I don't want to...its just so god damn difficult to find the confidence in myself. I am terribly sorry for anyone I have let down. I will return again, when, I don't know.
Keep your horns up and have a beer for my brother. RIP Mikey.

TRIVIUM is "Down From The Sky"....
No, they are not starting the Apocalypse; however, they have a great video and a pretty damn good song called "Down From The Sky"...Check it out:
The song comes from their upcoming album "Shogun" out September 30th through ROADRUNNER RECORDS. Two other songs, "Into The Mouth of Hell" and "Kirisute Gomen" have been posted on their official Myspace Page here.
the SECRET Reveal Their Secret
Well, if you have been living under a rock or just don't have good taste in metal...just kidding, there are so many damn bands out there I can't keep up myself...then you probably haven't heard of THE SECRET. The band released an album titled "Disintoxication" earlier this year which blew me away. Especially since I've been waiting for a new release from the band after "Luce" was released in 2004.
Anywho, I was browsing my Myspace bulletins and saw the band decided to not wait 4 years again to release new material. In fact, I have no idea what they plan to do with the songs; however, they are on their official Myspace page. The songs are entitled "No Title" and "Where It Ends". They do NOT disappoint.
Give it a chance.

Hey METALLICA...NICKELBACK Showed You Up
I never thought I'd have a NICKELBACK blog entry on here, let alone one favoring them...but since being disappointed thus far with "Death Magnetic" I have to point out the fact when NICKELBACK covers METALLICA...they actually do it better...and thats fucking scary.
Here is Nickleback covering "The Four Horseman"
Covering "Sad But True"
James...you should be very ashamed...and I mean VERY ashamed in your vocal performance.

Back To The Future Performance The Way It Should have been
Do all of you young adolescents out there remember that 80's movie BACK TO THE FUTURE? Well I sure do, I loved it actually. There were many memorable parts of the movie like the Flux Capacitor, Marty being hit on by his young mom, the classic car sliding sideways into a truck full of cow dookie, and the best scene with Marty rocking "Johnny B. Good" to a crowd of numb cookie cutters. So, that brings me to the video I found on Youtube and of course is of that performance; however, with the most ideal music...at least for us metal heads:
